Meet some of Our Kings

Sandi is the result of a carefully planned breeding program, his pedigree has 3 of the foundation Ragdolls of the Happytyme/Trendipuss Ragdolls as grandparents and his dam line is Blossom Tim Juliet through her daughter Petil Lu Gizmo.

Sandi’s coefficient of inbreeding is 11.2%, calculated on 5 generations.

 Sandi’s pedigree is unique to the Trendipuss, Tumblerag and Happytyme catteries, Sandi will only be found in the pedigrees of these catteries.  He has never been used in another breeding program; his offspring are only registered under these prefixes.

 Sandi has produced some fantastic Ragdoll babies for us, he is special as his sire Lanfranco is a Petil Lu Timothy some and his dam is Petil Lu Bambie (a Blossom time Lass daughter).

 Sandi’s dam is third generation Happytyme breeding; she has two Petil Lu Ragdolls as grandparents, the other grandparents being an Ursella Ragdoll and one of the most important sires at the Happytyme cattery- Happytyme Obsession.

 We feel Sandy  is a true ambassador to his ancestry, we are proud to have bred this boy and thank the breeders who had the foresight to breed the beautiful Ragdoll cats Sandi can  call his ancestors within three generations Sandi  has Trendipuss (Jackie Cook), Ursella(Sheila Chandler)  and Blossom time (Denny Dayton) and Petil Lu (Lulu Rowley)Ragdoll cats.

 Sandi has sired some very good type offspring, he has been slow to mature, which is to be expected of Ragdolls he has descended from.  Sandi has lovely bone and length of body; he has a correct true semi long haired coat.  His best features are probably his strength of chin and muzzle which he passes on to his kittens, along with his eye colour. 

 The fourth generation of Sandi’s pedigree only show Blossom Time Ragdolls imported into the United Kingdom, combined with the early Petil Lu, Patriarca, Fawpawz and Catricat Ragdolls.  Although we feel Sandi’s ancestry will enhance our breeding program, we also like his type, size and temperament.

 We are carefully choosing his future wives, hopefully enabling us to breed more dilute Ragdolls cats to be used at a future date ensuring the dilute (blue) gene is not lost in the “English” Ragdoll lines.

Homer is from one of the last ever litters of Happytyme Obsession.  His dam brings in the dam line of the import Mt Hope Blue Crystal.

 Homer’s coefficient of inbreeding is 2.0% calculated on 5 generations.

 Homers sire was one of the most influential Ragdoll studs in our breeding program, his dam lines are a very unusual mix of Auntsally, Ragsnriches, Doromas, Purrfurus and Dreamcats bred Ragdolls.  With the base dam being an American import.

 Homers pedigree shows a unique blend of very well know UK prefixes.  Happytyme Obsession appears in many of our Ragdoll Cats pedigrees, although he is normally further back in the pedigree.  We feel that having a Traditional Pedigree Boy with Obsession as a sire will be a fantastic asset to our breeding program.  Homer’s dam is also unique to our breeding program.  We were able tohelp with with the rehoming of the late del Andersons Ragdoll cats.  The majority of Del’s cats were not sold in the United Kingdom, with this in mind and the fact that BB was a beautiful type Ragdoll , it seemed a shame to loose the Purrfurus lines from the UK.  Del had chosen Chief Apache to continue her prefix as he was a Pandapaws Chico/Pandapaws Esther son.  (Chico and Esther were the foundation Ragdolls for the Purrfurus cattery).  Del chose Apache to breed to her lovely Mt Hope import Ragdoll, this blend of international lines produced BB.  We felt that breeding BB to Ziggy, who was also from lines imported into the UK by Rimminielace and Dreamcats, would produce us a unique female to use in our breeding.  We were thrilled when BB gave birth to a seal mitted girl who with her ancestry was given the name Miss America

 Homer has been used at stud, we are thrilled with his offspring, the careful planning of the matings that gave him his genotype have more than surpassed our expectations.  Homer has had some lovely comments from Judges; this makes us feel we are going in the right direction with our breeding program.  Homer is now a Champion with 5 Challenge Certificates to his name and we feel it will not be long before his first offspring will continue in their father’s footsteps.  His first born son achieved the status of Champion in 3 straight shows, and was also awarded Best in Show Semi Long Haired Adult at the tender age of 11 months!
